Subscription based mailer to get menstrual products at your door
My mission was to reimagine Organyc’s external
packaging design to authentically reflect their
core values—sustainability and user comfort.
This project isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about
creating an impactful, forward-thinking solution
that champions eco-conscious practices and
elevates the user experience. I’ve designed
packaging that eliminates glue, conserves space,
is made from recyclable materials, and uses
biodegradable ink through UV printing—every
element chosen with purpose and care.
How can sustainable packaging design enhance user comfort while upholding eco-conscious values?
Who is Organyc?
Organyc®, a brand from Corman—a family-owned company with over 75 years of expertise in creating natural, effective cotton-based products—embodies a commitment to both environmental sustainability and women’s wellness. With a focus on creating products that are gentle on sensitive skin, Organyc® provides a solution to the irritation many women experience with conventional feminine care products. Their products and packaging are 100% biodegradable, made with renewable energy, and their commitment extends beyond production to partnerships like Plastics for Change, aiming to repair ecosystems and support communities impacted by plastic pollution.
As a sustainable designer, I was inspired to collaborate with Organyc® because of their dedication to aligning values with impactful action. In redesigning their packaging, I incorporated biodegradable corkboard as a sustainable alternative, used biodegradable inks, and eliminated glue, ensuring that every aspect of the packaging is environmentally sound. In addition, I introduced the concept of subscription-based packaging, allowing customers to receive Organyc® products as a customized kit delivered directly to their doorstep. This offers an added level of convenience and personalization, aligning with the needs of consumers while reducing the environmental impact of frequent retail trips.
This redesign not only enhances the product’s eco-friendly lifecycle but also introduces a consumer-first approach to sustainable living. By integrating a direct-to-consumer, subscription-based option, Organyc® can provide a more seamless and customizable experience that reflects their mission of ecological integrity, offering consumers a choice that genuinely supports both personal health and environmental well-being.
Design For Impact
👤 Audience
Organyc is intended for all menstruating people. Organyc steers away from gendered packaging, and aims to create an experience where all people who menstruate feel included.
🌱 Brand Guide: Organyc

📦 Product: Organyc
Why bother going to the store every month when you could just have your menstrual products delivered to your doorstep?
Organyc is a subscription based menstrual package — mailed directly to your doorstep.
Packages are customizable to include all of your menstrual needs. Cater your mailer to your needs including pads and tampons that come in various sizes and absorbency levels. 100% cotton products with no additional additives — no chlorine bleach, no latex, no parabens, no perfumes, no super absorbent powders, plastic or other man-made ingredients. Products absorbency ranges from Light, Regular, and Heavy.

Tampon/Pad Box Prototype
I designed my own laser cutter template and cut out this box. The box is easy to carry, portable, and semi-discreet. No more rustling through your bag trying to find a tampon, just to find that the plastic has been ripped open. The box acts as a secure case that protects you, and the product.

Prototype trials before reaching the final.

🚶Takeaways
From materials to messaging, I focused on how every detail shapes the user's emotional and physical experience.
Design the experience, not just the product
Every fold, texture, and print choice became a storytelling opportunity.
Packaging can communicate brand ethics.
By considering all factors, sustainability is more than just using cardboard, it is the application of the material.
Sustainability is a design system, not just a material choice
